The Client

The Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership is a non-profit organisation working alongside local authorities, the railway industry and the University of Plymouth to improve rail services and enhance stations across the South West.

Since its formation, the partnership has helped secure improved services on local branch lines while working with community volunteers to make stations more welcoming and attractive for passengers. Their ongoing work supports sustainable travel and helps connect communities throughout Devon and Cornwall.

The Brief

The Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership approached us to produce and install a series of eye-catching exterior signs at Plymouth Railway Station. The signage needed to create a welcoming and colourful arrival point for visitors beginning their journey through the South West, while also being durable enough to withstand the demands of an outdoor railway environment.

How We Helped

Our signage and production team worked closely with the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership to manufacture and install a set of heavy-duty composite aluminium panels at Plymouth Railway Station.

Composite aluminium was selected as an ideal material for this project due to its strength, durability and suitability for external applications. The lightweight yet robust panels provide a long-lasting signage solution while maintaining a high-quality finish.

Following production, our team travelled to Plymouth to complete the installation, ensuring the signs were securely fitted and professionally presented for visitors arriving at the station.

The finished signage provides a vibrant and welcoming addition to Plymouth Railway Station, helping create a memorable first impression for visitors using the city as the starting point for their South West adventures.
